WE SHINE RIDES AND HELP YOU FEEL GREAT WHEN YOU DRIVE
Where have the events of your summer taken you? Are you doing considerable
traveling? Chances are you will be in/ around your vehicle a great deal in the next months. Are you going to the county fair this week? Remember that it is a fun, dusty indoor/outdoor event and there are plenty of ways your vehicle can get dirty very quickly--from animal barns, to the dust on those well-traveled paths, to the food vendors with cotton candy. The days can be warm and it may seem like a good idea to think ahead for cooling your vehicles interior, but leaving windows open to cool a vehicle while parked in a dusty environment may have larger undesired consequences (a completely dusty car inside, especially if there is a lot of traffic [i.e. the fair]). It is amazing what your vehicle can go through in a summer. Picking the proper places to protect and store and your vehicle, can be essential to maintaining its good condition. How and where you apply water and wax are best decided by the time of day. Remember to keep the vehicle in good shade through the heat of the day. Keep garaged if possible, if not look for an extra shady spot under some trees. When using trees for shade, check often to see that they are not dropping sap on the paint. If so, washing immediately should remove it. Waiting till it hardens will cause serious issues. Bird droppings left on the paint are a sure way to damage the clear coat, leaving undesired discoloration or pitting. It's the time of year for hot summer days with seemingly unlimited ice cream treats. During these hot summer days you will probably get the urge to practice having a car wash, but knowing when and where can help avoid extra work. Making sure you wash a vehicle in the shade to avoid the fast drying of the sun can help prevent streaking and other less desirable factors. The cool of mornings and evenings is the best time to avoid water spots or light scratches resulting from toweling off hot paint. Wax vehicles in a cool garage if possible. If not, the same above advice applies. Keeping a fresh coat of wax on the vehicle will help protect from the sun's damaging UV rays. Sun visors are great for protecting the dash from the sun and helping to keep the vehicle cool. Even if it seems your bag of activities this summer is continually being added to and adjusting, plan some time for a good, thorough vehicle cleaning. We are eager to help you with it. Our help may take the added stress edge off of your summer. Don’t forget to really relax and enjoy the beautiful but brief summer we have.
