Have you noticed? Bozeman is looking different these days! If you have been watching, you might have seen that the building activity downtown has continued to increase as the area is being developed. With all of the large hotels and new small businesses opening, it is going to continue to change the looks of things in this town. According to the February Newsletter, Swmbia.org, there were 18 commercial building starts during this Fiscal year, through December 14, with the value adding up to over 32 Million dollars and over 275,000 square feet of coverage. There have also been 216 total residential starts during the same period, in the city of Bozeman. It is amazing to watch the interesting changes as the valley once again resumes the familiar growth and expansion mode. Though many locals are wary of too much change, there have been many improvements in the last 15 + years.
Some of these changes are talked about in a recent article from the Bozeman Daily Chronicle written December 10th 2014, by Eric Dietrich. With a new project underway to add a 5 story mixed use, work/ living space, it is evident that there is an influx of options coming. It will be an element that adds to the increasing desire for housing near the downtown region. This push for more convenient downtown housing seems to be a real need, evidenced by the Block “M” townhouses-- a project that has already sold 17 of its 18 Block “M” units. And of course if you have driven on Mendenhall recently, you have probably noticed the larger project already well underway--the Element Hotel. It will soon reach the completion of its exterior. There are other large hotels in the works as well and it seems it may be fairly soon that the main street Mendenhall roads will change. With increase in population comes increasing traffic flow in the muddy spring in our area and more vehicles in need of cleaning. Do you celebrate your loved ones on Valentines Day? What traditions are you keeping this year?
It’s more than sending greetings, eating chocolate, or finding flowers. Its about somehow expressing the depth of the commitment made to honor and to delight in someone. One of the ways traditionally used is the presentation of a fine gem from a local jewelry store to show, tangibly, a heart full of appreciation. But, whatever means you use, Valentine's Day is a fabulous opportunity to say "I love you!!!"
To learn more about the history of the special day--going far back to the Roman era, look into our blog archives back to last February and read about the history of Valentine’s Day.
In our American culture, Valentine’s Day is a big event. The holiday brings in $14 billion annually. It is not surprising, as men will often get talked into getting the "finest" and usually most expensive of everything to make it special. We know how difficult it can be for men to find the perfect Valentine flowers or sweep their women off her feet with that box of chocolates. Why not throw in a professional auto detail job? Consider adding a gift certificate for a full or partial detail under that box of chocolates and flowers.
In rising to the occasion, planning something special might include taking that significant other to dinner and possibly a romantic drive during the evening? Where do you like to go? If it involves driving a little distance, it may pay to have the vehicle as fresh as possible for that special someone in your life. If you are in need of another option and plan to get a little gift to best say, “I love you” in a simple way, consider including the gift of a vehicle detail. Bring your vehicle in (and prepare for the Spring) by having an interior detail and washing that paint to make your ride sparkle when you take your sweetheart to dinner. To help you celebrate, we suggest this practical, refreshing gift: keeping your vehicle smelling sweet as a perfect Valentine treat. Make it extra special by including some natural car fresheners, flowers in a sweet smelling bouquet, to help commemorate your love and commitment this Valentines Day. Set them next to a gift card loaded to the amount that you determine, and give the gift that can continue throughout the year. Grab something else to make it even sweeter, maybe a box of special chocolates or some other candy and make it super nice with the unique Valentine surprise that a great auto detail gift package offers.
