Daily tasks add up! Getting ahead on the little to-do's is helpful. This week it may be hurrying to gather your W-2 forms and reimbursement receipts from last year's earnings for filing taxes by next Tuesday. The 15th of April has become a dread for some and almost a holiday for others. It is a day of relief to have your information in and perhaps a much anticipated refund check coming back. With only a week left it seems there are always questions on how to get that loophole or gain some new insight into better handling of the entire tax preparation process.  Yes, many questions do come up:
Will I get a refund or will I owe? Where should I file? How long will it take to get my return? Did I forget anything? Is there a simple way to get more from my return? It makes sense to have a professional look over your taxes as little areas are often missed. Sending a thoroughly documented tax filing is a good investment of your extra time.If you are concerned about how the Affordable Care Act may affect your fines next year because you don’t have a current healthcare provider, it may be worth looking into a program like Samaritan Ministries International.

If you take time to consider those specific tax issues involved in your type of job or living situation when filing, the process can get easier.  And don't forget those extra funds brought in by a small business or side job. Things may also look different on your forms if you are without a dependent. Remember that there are tax benefits for those attending college.

After finishing your tax preparation, here's a GOOD IDEA when considering what to do with the refund check. Why not invest some of this years refund money for a business expense on next year's tax deduction?  It is possible to get a deduction from having a business vehicle detailed at our shop.
