Summer Adventure Ideas

Are you looking for summer adventures --ways to use your vehicle to best advantage in these green and growing days of June--to provide just the right-- especially memorable --times with the whole family?  Are you looking for ways to enjoy this amazing area and to "get out into the wonder" of it all? Let us help you:

 Maybe it is the time to begin a full family project, one that stretches over several weeks. How about building a carport or a garage? How about planting a garden?  Whether a building project,or outdoor living project, ideas galore can be found at our local library, or on line.

With the kids out of school,  maybe it's time to pull out the recreational vehicles and head for the hills --and the lake, (or floating the Madison). So load up the whole mob and away we go.

Other options to consider:

Why not pack up your vehicle with all the fixin's for  breakfast on a mountain?  And get there early enough to watch the sun rise.

Or perhaps drive the gang to the nearest outdoor basketball court or playground and have a picnic.

Then there's the fun of picking up everybody's favorite arts and crafts/ foods at the local Farmers' Markets.

You might take the family on a mini vacation to an unexplored (new to you) part of Montana and discover regional favorites you have only heard about. You might check out a book on State Parks of Montana, or ask a few people where they would recommend going..

Take a little extra time to see some sites while everything is green and growing and while there is still some snow in the mountains.

Take time for an evening fishing trip and enjoy a sunset drive afterward.  Just don't get those hooks stuck in the upholstery!

Is it one of those rainy days that just needs something to do? Keep things on the go with a trip to Museum of the Rockies or another of our local history museums.  By the way, did you know that the Tinsley House-- up at the Museum of the Rockies' Living History Farm, is free all summer long?

Are you in the market for purchasing a new vehicle?  Why not take a little time, and test drive a really fun, more expensive vehicle, while you're at it, while evaluating what you are looking for in a new vehicle, should the opportunity arise to get one.

Load up the car with blankets and snacks, and find some good music at a concert in the park.
