Have you recently had a vehicle come to its final end? Maybe it has been through enough repairs. You and the vehicle have had some good times, but it is about time for it to retire. Additionally, maybe you have recently found some extra parts in the garage that you have no need to install on any vehicle, and you are looking for a good use for those parts--besides scrap. If you see these as an opportunity to explore something creative this Spring, why not try a little salvage decorating? Rather than buying an abundance of extra gardening decor' items, why not make the most of those extra vehicle parts? Rather than shipping the whole thing down to the junkyard, look at it again--critically. Might there be some interesting pieces to salvage for a beautiful setting in the backyard? Are your creative juices flowing? Do you enjoy gardening? There may be a great solution to be discovered! Why not use some of the more aesthetic parts from an old vehicle to plant and grow a garden? Is it a more movable, "mobile garden" you are considering? Why not try planting it in the bed of an old pickup and letting the array of colors make that rusty, old clunker stand out? There are many possible ways to prepare it, making those spare parts not only useful, but a real "fit" with the look and theme of your garden. Some may argue, is it a work of beauty or an eye sore? If it has a nice balance of color and function, it could be a beautiful piece of lawn decoration and just what you are looking for as a challenge and solution to growing a great garden this spring. Additionally, this may be a fun way to bring together the whole family for some enjoyable springtime activity. “Unburying” old tires can provide a welcome sign of spring for many gardeners and are often put to use holding a variety of “deep rooted” plants. The tires provide a solid boundary, edging, warmth for spring shoots, or even a unique "upward" way to grow potatoes! There seem to be plenty of uses for vehicle parts in vegetable gardens and in other forms of “decorative art”. What fun to give it a try this year! If your vehicle is still together and running well, stop by and have it detailed at our shop in 4 corners. We will help get the dirt off of it, so you can get back into it, and once again really enjoy working in it. Posted by Bryon: Bryon is the promotional marketing man for SHINES AUTOS METICULOUSLY. At the start of a new year, many find it helpful to set goals for the New Year--whether personal disciplines--like exercise and time management efforts aimed at achieving valued pursuits, or branching off into new horizons---starting a new hobby, learning a new skill, studying a new area of information. Each new year has its opportunities for discovery. Perhaps one of the most common of all goals after the holiday feasting, is the area of keeping a workout routine going. Because of the icy season, many people find it a struggle to go out and sometimes “brave the weather”--even to get to an exercise gym or athletic club; but, for the unafraid, those determined NOT to spend all these months trapped indoors, the Bozeman area has a lot to offer for the outdoor winter sport enthusiast. We LIVE in a winter playground. Between great downhill ski hills, cross country ski paths, a mix of ice rinks for hockey and figure skating or just heading to the sledding hill, there are many ways to get out and enjoy the benefits of all of the great local spots for winter sports and other activities. Nonetheless, you may just want to sit by a fire and sip hot chocolate after your indoor workout, or take a drive to the local library to exercise your MIND on these icy wintery days. Let us know what good January adventures you are presently discovering. Do you have fun family activities anticipated during the winter months? Are you a snowbird--escaping the cold here and journeying south on a longer trip, or are you trying to plan a quick vacation through the many beautiful places around us to visit within this winter landscape? If you are the creative type, you may enjoy going on a hunt for spectacular photos in the area around us. We live in a place that is wonderful for excursions. Try the wintertime view of Yellowstone National Park by way of Mammoth Hot Springs and the Lamar Valley, ending the trip with a good soak in the boiling river hot springs area just outside of mammoth. If you are looking for a hot springs that is a little more developed than a river check out Chico Hot Springs (and the only Five Star restaurant in Montana). But call ahead for reservations! There are also some great "new" opportunities for a nice dining experience around the Gallatin Valley. With a variety of recent restaurants opening, there is a nice list of places to please most any palate. From finer dining to fast food, you could order it to go or invite the whole family to join you around the table, for a unique food experience. If you are staying local, don't forget to catch a local basketball game with the MSU bobcats now well into their season or swing over and watch one of the high school teams here in Gallatin Valley. With the back and forth, melt and freeze weather of the season, it may be helpful to catch a quick wash and potentially an interior detail at our 4 Corners shop. We are open during regular business hours, so stop by anytime within them to get an early start on your next detailing project. What a wonderful beginning to your vehicle adventures this new year! Here we are again at the close of another year, with changes to the familiar and with amazing possibilities ahead. Looking back on another fun-filled year of bringing to you a continuing series of posts on our blog, we have sought to provide relevant and interesting information relating to vehicles as well as to life in our outstanding community. Tracking back through 2014, we looked at the history of valentines day, some of the valley's events and opportunities, a tax help blog, a summer idea blog, and information concerning a variety of community events as just some of the many blog posts from this year. If you missed them you can still check them out in our previous blog posts. Much of the year has been steady in the shop. We have seen a number of great vehicles and had some exciting times cleaning dirty cars. Our gift certificates have been very popular during through the year as well as the holiday season. We want to lighten your full load if you have a list to get done before the new year, which may include writing out your New Year's goals; finding a good place to drop off an old Christmas tree, and cleaning up your home (or vehicle) before the start of another busy week. We are excited to emphasize the use of WeatherTech floor mats in our newly cleaned vehicles, as well as improving our technology and service to you. Your comments and advice will be pivotal in advancing in our services to you. What have you enjoyed this last year? With a new year comes new plans for improvement. Share your thoughts.
